Visit to Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU)
Dr Turki Faisal Al Rasheed has given a series of lectures to graduate students of Liverpool Business School and the School of the Built Environment at LJMU from 3 to 6 February 2014.
During his lectures at the Business School, Dr Al Rasheed delivered a provocative and motivating address to the doctoral programme students about Surviving the Viva. An enthusiastic question and answer session ensued in each of the lectures, which were held with the able support of Liverpool Business School Programme Leader, Dr Yusra Mouzughi.
Dr Al Rasheed also delivered a lecture to the School of the Built Environment’s Master’s Programme about the Sustainable Construction Industry: the case of Saudi Arabia which proved to be successful which was facilitated by Prof David Bryde.
This visit coincides with Dr Rasheed’s yearly commitment to LJMU as an Visiting Research Fellow at Liverpool Business School. Additionally, Dr Al Rasheed had several meetings with Heads of Faculty for the Saudi/LJMU collaboration in terms of LJMU expanding internationally and attracting more foreign students.
In conclusion, Dr Al Rasheed had a successful visit to LJMU and is waiting for the response and decision of the Heads of Faculty regarding the way forward.
